Downer's Road Services Business Unit is one of the largest non-government owned road services businesses in Australia. We operate from a network of over 50 depots and maintain more than 40,000 km of road. Our Business is involved in many exciting ventures within the civil road industry throughout the country.

A challenging opening now exists for a talented Senior Project Engineer to join our Northern Territory Road's Business. Ideally you will have solid experience in delivering to a high standard on complex projects while ensuring Safety, Environment and Quality Standards are met.  

ABOUT YOU

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related Civil Roads discipline
  • Exposure in Civil Road construction, road maintenance and surfacing will be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated ability to overcome problems related to site management conflicts; and the ability to anticipate and address issues in operations in order to effectively meet expectations 
  • Previous experience in project management including programming, contract management and crew engagement 
  • Good client focus and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage and develop a high performing team
  • Contract management skills
  • Drive continuous performance improvement and innovation across the group.
  • An understanding of planning, execution and reporting of complex projects.
  • Strong safety focus with demonstrated evidence of actively promoting and sustaining a Zero harm environment
