Traffic Manager - Infrastructure Projects North (Auckland)
This is a key role focusing on the Management of all traffic management elements on the L2W project to ensure that disruption to all road users and third parties during construction is kept to the minimum possible.
In this role you will be responsible for all management, coordination and liaison required to absorb any existing Temporary Traffic Management (TTM). Day to day you will ensure that the TTM ties in with any adjacent contracts at all times, including making changes required at the interface from construction starting of adjacent contracts and manage the preparation and approval process of all Traffic Management Plans (TMP’s) and ensure they comply with any designation and resource consent conditions. This will include staging of road closures, maintaining local road network continually, public notification requirements for road closures, hours of working, shifting of bulk materials, restrictions on use of roads, construction traffic routes. Once approved you will manage the design and generation of Site Specific Traffic Management Plans (SSTMP’s) and ensure regular communication and updates are provided to NZTA.
We are looking for someone with a high degree of Traffic Management experience on major NZTA motorway projects coupled with proven management experience and accountability for staff, plant and return on investment. It will be essential you have had experience in project traffic management, key stakeholder management and have a proven track record in demonstrating achieving contractual targets. Naturally you will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and be a self-starter who is highly motivated and goal oriented. Your strengths will include your ability to analyse problems and make sound decisions as well as commercial and financial acumen. A relevant tertiary qualification would be an advantage
