Position summary

Downer's Road Services business unit is one of the largest non-government owned road services businesses in Australia. We operate from a network of over 50 depots and maintain more than 30,000 km of road. Our Business is involved in many exciting ventures within the civil road industry throughout the country.

Due to internal promotion, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operational Coordinator to join our Surfacing team based at Rosehill. This is a challenging role that offers a self-driven individual a real chance at expanding their experience within an ASX listed organisation.

Reporting to the Surfacing Manager, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating all activities associated with any project for the NSW surfacing business. 


  • Experience in the Transport/Logistics or Construction industry
  • Ability to use computer software programs.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Proven planning and analytical skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and have good time management
  • Co-ordination of internal resources and contractors to various job requirements 
  • Managing all incoming orders and queries relating to the supply and delivery of all equipment and products associated with projects throughout Sydney.
  • Providing accurate information to internal and external clients on the program of works
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with key personnel and developing a good understanding of customers' needs
  • Providing some adhoc after hours support.
  • Enforcing the Company's Zero Harm requirements
