We’re on the lookout for an experienced leader with strong relationship and leadership skills to come on board as a Contract Manager in our Paeroa Depot.

Our Paeroa Depot is a small yet effective branch operating within the wider Bay of Plenty Business.  We’ve recently re-secured the Hauraki District Council Maintenance Contract positioning the business to move forward with confidence.  As such we’re looking for an experienced Contract Manager to join as an integral member of our team.

As well as being responsible for the delivery of the maintenance contract you will look after the Paeroa depot and take an active role in building the business, broadening its client base both within the Hauraki District as well as across its boundaries.  It’s essential that your people skills are second to none and you like to drive success.

About you: 
You’ll be a strong leader, who enjoys mentoring, training and sharing their skills / experience with the team. 

You’ll also bring with you:

  • 3+ years project or contract management experience (and engineering would be advantageous)
  • Exceptional relationship building skills
  • Experienced with client and stakeholder interaction
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Proven experience with delivering results in a commercially competitive environment where a focus on innovation, continuous improvement, customer service and operational excellence is paramount
  • A sound understanding of financial and accounting processes, including preparation of progress and claim reports and producing and interpreting monthly financial reports to P&L level
  • An understanding of, and experience with, Job Management and Asset Management Systems
  • A strong commitment to Health & Safety initiatives with previous experience in complying with Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental policies
  • A willingness to learn about the construction industry
