Downer's road business is one of the largest non-government owned road services business in Australia. We operate from a network of over 50 depots and maintain more than 30,000 kilometres of road. We are involved in many exciting ventures within the civil road industry throughout the country.
An opportunity has become available for a Project Manager to join the North-Eastern Maintenance Alliance team based in Benalla. This is an excellent opportunity to base yourself in Victoria’s breathtaking High Country. The focus of this role is to oversee our Road crews in executing routine maintenance services. You will take charge of all operational, budgeting, forecasting and reporting activities.
This role is ideally suited to candidates with industry exposure across, Civil Road Maintenance, Construction, Infrastructure or Bulk Earth works.
You will have demonstrated success in supervising crews and ensuring that works are being executed as per contractual obligations.
Exposure to assisting with Project financials as well as performance reporting
A strong commitment to ensuring that the Project Schedule is delivered within scope whilst effectively managing plant and labour.
Proficiency with the Microsoft office suite, strong Excel skills.
Drive accountability throughout the workforce.
Good customer focus and negotiation skills.
Strong commitment to maintaining a Zero Harm culture.
Drive continuous performance improvement and innovation across the group
Have the desire to continually develop your skills and take on new opportunities as they arise.
A high attention to detail including the ability to manage large volumes of data
Excellent planning and communication skills
A strong IT proficiency and the ability to adapt to new technology.
