Position summary


Grouters - Immediate fulltime opportunities within a dynamic and successful business on an exciting project up to October with opportunities to transition onto other Downer projects following completion.

Ausenco and Downer EDI Limited (Downer) has secured a contract with OZ Minerals for work at the Carrapateena copper gold mine project, 160 kilometres north east of Port Augusta in South Australia.

The project has an immediate opportunity for experienced Trades Assistants, with experience on major mining construction or Infrastructure projects to contribute to the delivery of a joint venture project.

The scope of work includes:

•Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a new minerals processing plant, including the non-process infrastructure to support the operations

•Site power distribution

•Plant bore fields development for regional water supply

•Full communications and telemetry network.

Key Skills, Qualifications or experience:

You must be a team player with the ability to complete tasks as directed with a focus on safety, quality and timeliness.  You will play a key role in assisting operators and tradesmen as required and will have:

  • General knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and procedures;
  • Experienced industrial grouter
  • Major civil/ mechanical construction project experience
  • Conversant with cementitious and epoxy grouting
  • Efficient, neat finisher.
  • Form work experience
  • Willingness to perform general manual labouring activities;
  • White Card (mandatory);
  • Hold a valid open C class (minimum) drivers licence (mandatory);
