Downer's Road business is one of the largest non-government owned road services business in Australia. We operate from a network of over 35 depots and maintain more than 30,000 km's of road. Our Business is involved in many exciting ventures within the civil road industry.

A senior opportunity has become available within our highly diverse Surfacing business; this is a unique opportunity to join our Senior Leadership Team. This position will take charge of managing the Surfacing Operations within Queensland and actively drive the operations to ensure the business delivers on quality, time and budget whilst meeting all client expectations. The other complimentary half of this role is centred on managing operational activities to deliver company objectives of growth, sustainability performance, zero harm and optimisation.

 About You

This role requires demonstrable exposure at a Senior Management level, within the Asphalt, Surfacing Paving or Civil Road Maintenance space, from a contracting perspective.

· Ideally you will have qualifications in Engineering, Business Management or a related discipline.  

· A demonstrable understanding in delivering Asphalt projects as well as a technical understanding of road surfacing.

· Strong financial acumen with the ability to prepare operational budgets, P&L's as well as the ability to interrogate financial information.

· Strong Leadership skills as well a strong understanding of OHS/EHS best practice.

· A proactive approach to change management with the capacity to lead and inspire teams.
