In preparation for significant growth, our Taranaki team have an exciting opportunity to lead our high performing team as Construction Manager.

About the role
In this key leadership role, and as part of our Transport Services team, you’ll be alongside the Regional Manager in setting and executing our strategy. You will be responsible for overall operational delivery of construction works within the Taranaki area.

Key functions will include:

  • Ensuring our team has an unwavering focus on zero harm
  • Enhancing our strong relationships with our clients and delivering as promised, every time.
  • Growing the team, and the capability of the team by providing clear and positive leadership
  • Ensuring that we deliver projects as expected
  • Work with the Regional Manager to retain and enhance current business and develop capability to deliver on new business opportunities.
  • Lead and provide support across the construction team and associated operational teams to deliver successful outcomes

About You
Bring on your people leadership skills as we need someone who has a proven record of putting people first through providing decisive and inclusive leadership to your teams and the wider business but also can bring a strategic focus and utlise it into a plan, focused on delivering BAU with excellence whilst growing our market.

You’ll also need strong communication skills including the ability to build and maintain relationships and a demonstrated capability in regards to financial and performance management.

On a final note having extensive construction experience in delivering contracts including demonstrated capability in commercial acumen, project controls, programme management and resource planning is an added bonus.
