Our Invercargill operation has an opening for a Road Marking Apprentice to learn the skills of an A/B type Road marker or an operator that already has these skills. You will be part of a dynamic team undertaking both the installation of new markings and maintenance. The work we do ensures the safety of road crews, motorists and the public. This is a great opportunity to develop a skill that is transferable around the world and for you to work in a truly diverse operation.

This role will reward your attention to detail, precision, and desire to see your work completed to the highest standard as every road user will be relying on it.

About you:

Along with your positive attitude there are a few essentials, but don’t stress too much if you don’t tick them all off, we are prepared to train you!

  • Ideally you are experienced in the operation and maintenance of A or B type road marking machines
  • A genuine interest in maintaining and caring for machinery
  • Class 1 full New Zealand drivers’ licence with the ability to handle manual vehicles
  • Class 2 licence would also be beneficial
  • Must be physically fit, energetic and self-motivated
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders (written and verbal)

Overall, you should be health and safety conscious, Flexible to work rostered shifts including nights and weekends, have strong concentration and attention to detail. Be accurate, and have a pride in your work.
