Our surfacing division is highly respected and has a great track record for delivering a high standard of work. We're on the hunt for an experienced foreperson with exceptional communication skills to join our Invercargill team. You'll provide leadership and technical knowledge to our Southern sealing contracts. You’ll to be involved with planning, organising, direction and controlling activities and operations of our sealing crews to ensure that work is completed to the satisfaction of our customers and that all targets are met.

About you:

This is a 'hands on' Foreman role where you'll be providing training and development to new staff. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your mentoring skills in an environment where everyone is given the resources they need to succeed.

Ideally you’ll have:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory/foreperson role within a road surfacing crew
  • Knowledge of sealing specifications and procedures & experienced in the use of bitumen and emulsions advantageous
  • High standard of workmanship
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team leadership skills and the ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Strong safety and quality focus
