About The Role:

The Business Improvement Lead for our Utilities (Energy, Telecommunications, Water & Automation) business will support with the compliance to The Downer Standard, the Delivery Management Methodology framework and manage the overall Utilities Assurance Programme while identifying business improvement opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, manage and report on the Quality Assurance Programme and work with the Utilities business to design initiatives that support operations with applying the quality principles.
  • Become the expert in the application of The Downer Standard and in particular Delivery Management Methodology and how through targeted audits we can assure compliance and opportunities to share learnings.
  • Undertake audits and identify business improvement opportunities and detail these in the audit reports.
  • Identify high value process improvement initiatives and opportunities for standardisation across Utilities.
  • Develop plans for the implementation of business improvement initiatives including change management aspects and utilisation of O365 tools to embed the process.
  • Co-ordinate internal and external audits within Utilities to ensure that teams understand the scope and purpose and are suitably informed and prepared for the audit.
  • Provide guidance, support and training for the adoption of The Downer Standard and Utilities Capability documentation and associated processes of the integrated management system (IMS).

This is a full time (40 hours a week, Monday to Friday) permanent role paying between $80,000 - $90,000 annual salary – experience dependant.

 

About You:

  • Proven success in a Business Improvement role within a services based company is desirable
  • 3-5 years of Quality Assurance experience and knowledge is desirable 
  • Experience and understanding of Integrated Management Systems is desirable
  • Experience in control assurance activities and or internal / external auditing is desirable 
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • Clear verbal, and written communication skills including preparation of reports and presentations.
