About the opportunity

We have a great opportunity for an administration superstar to join our Ellerslie based Recruitment team to make a real difference attracting and selecting the right people for our highly diverse and dispersed Downer Utilities business.

As a team we connect people with excellent career opportunities and provide the business with the resources they need to deliver the excellence we are known for. Working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines, a day in the life will include:

  • Processing pre-employment checks and onboarding new starters
  • Participating in exciting improvement and ad-hoc projects
  • Supporting the Advisors in their vacancies
  • Pre-screening applications
  • Coordination of candidate interviews and references

About you 

We create an empowering culture where everyone can thrive and be remarkable no matter where you start. We are looking for someone who will bring with them:

  • A positive mindset
  • Demonstrated customer service and administrative/coordination experience
  • Superb attention to detail, prioritisation, and organisation skills
  • Well-developed computer skills and the ability to confidently operate the MS Office suite, an ability to work independently
  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with people from all walks of life
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • A curious & tech-savvy nature with the A Business degree (or similar) in HR, Management, or Marketing would be advantageous
