About your new role

Due to an exciting phase of growth, Downer are seeking applications from Mechanical Fitters residing in the Kalgoorlie region or candidates interested in relocating. Downer is offering a family friendly 5/2 roster (Monday - Friday).

Reporting to the Fitting and Machining Supervisor, the role would see you in a hybrid capacity working in the workshop as well as attending to service repairs on the Field. You will ensure that the highest standard of plant reliability and availability is achieved, whilst maintaining Downer’s Safety and regulatory standards.

About you:

• Be a Kalgoorlie Resident
• Hold an Australian Recognised Trade Certificate 
• Experience working on gearboxes, pumps, motors (strip and assess, rebuilds)
• Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
• Positive attitude towards safety
