People and Culture Officer

Downer Rail and Transit Systems (RTS) is looking for a People and Culture Officer to join their high performing team. This role has responsibility for transactional HR activities and is instrumental in ensuring we provide procedural efficiency, effective client focused HR services and ensuring compliance with  statutory obligations. This position will support the P&C Manager in the effective administration of P&C processes. Position can be based in either Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. 

ABOUT YOU

• Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to set work priorities to meet deadlines
• Attention to detail, adaptability and flexibility, pro-active approach
• Respond in a timely manner and provide sound advice to various stakeholders
• Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
• Experience and/or interest in implementing and refining systems to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery
• Strong MS Office skills
• Power BI and HRMIS experience (Oracle) desirable
• Tertiary Qualification in Business or Human Resources or nearing completion
• Experience in Human Resources (generalist or specialist position) or a business or customer support position desirable.
