We provide unparalleled services to our clients and are seeking a Asphalt Crew Supervisor who is committed to providing a high-quality service in a professional and timely manner.
IN YOUR ROLE YOU WILL
Lead allocated team(s) to deliver the expected outcomes
Manage the day-to-day site operations including coordinating resources
Communicate with stakeholders on relevant project matters
Ensure all work is of a high standard and carried out in compliance with the relevant project safety, quality and environmental management plans
Provide leadership to the team(s)
Promote the goods and services of the Downer Group
Coordinate the equipment resources allocated and ensure daily maintenance is completed and documented
Ensure all relevant book work is completed accurately and submitted within the required time frames
Ensure all staff follow company guidelines, rules and policies

YOU WILL HAVE
General Safety Induction - Construction
Minimum 2 years’ experience working on projects to State Road Authority Specifications specialising in Asphalt/Spray Seal
5 years’ experience within Civil road construction industry
Ability to coordinate resources effectively to achieve high quality outcomes within the budgetary requirements
Ability to liaise and negotiate with customers and offer advice to ensure a suitable outcome
Strong human resource management skills, including strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
Sound understanding of the implementation of quality, safety and environmental management systems
Ability to read and interpret detailed plans and specifications
High level of verbal and written communication skills
A collaborative management style with a high comfort level working in diverse environments
Sound knowledge of road construction equipment and maintenance requirements
Ability to delegate responsibilities effectively
