The Asset Management System Data Coordinator’s will take on a leading role in the standardisation and ongoing governance of the MFAIS data to ensure that the system is utilised and operates to its full potential. Working within the Asset Management team the focus of this role is to help Downer achieve its vision to be the industry leading asset maintenance provider, through the implementation and optimisation of digital tools and analytics.
Downer’s Asset Management Systems team manages and deliver several significant projects across the digital space, and you will be a major contributor to their success.
The Role:
Reporting into Asset Management Systems team you will be responsible for the development, automation, and maintenance of the Downer Business Systems enabling new system functions to cater business requirements/processes. You will undertake detailed analysis, identify, and prioritise works, support solutions design, and will be part of SME group with enhanced soft skills that will develop and maintain the digital solutions, and engage with internal and external partners providing resources for continuous improvement and enhancement projects.

The role will also require the following technical skills and knowledge:
Skills -
Bachelor's degree in engineering or Computers
3+ years of experience working with Maximo EAM systems.
3+ years of Maximo development experience with designing and managing configurations.
Supporting the major ICT projects with the design requirement for the systems and ensuring the data caters for the successful introduction of the TLS phase.
Support the implementation of new technologies to continuously improve the quality of the data in the systems.
Interfacing with TLS to provide mentoring to ensure that data is entered consistently to the correct standards.
Development and implementation of training to users when required.
Carry out the clean-up of existing legacy data and structure.
Experience in building or enhancing Java based applications, web-based UI extensions.
Have experience in distributed systems, legacy experience is considered an asset
Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and oral
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to prepare documentation for techno-functional solutions, framework, and architecture of business systems
Knowledge –
Knowledge and understanding of business systems best practice design
Knowledge of system integration and testing, ability to create and execute Test cases using IT tools and generate reports
Knowledge of scripting – Python/Jython/Java.
Knowledge of implementing automation testing for system functions and integration
Support System Integration and User acceptance Testing
Intermediate level Java or python development
Support Process, design, and solution development documentation
Background in both agile and waterfall development methodologies
