The Business Development Manager – Water will develop, adapt and implement Business Strategy for growth and retention of business, ensuring a robust pipeline of opportunities across the greater Water Business.
The Role:
Lead engagement with external organisations and Joint Ventures for future bids
Work alongside of key leadership teams to develop strategies and acceleration plans targeting revenue and margin increase, further embedding Downer with our customers.
Explore alternative proposals, expand addressable market and strengthen relationships with key clients, building a commitment to customer service excellence.
Anticipate client needs and make improvements based on actions and feedback.
Ensure pipelines are accurate and support budgeted financial targets.
ABOUT YOU
Thorough understanding of the National Water Industry, key participants, regulatory requirements, and challenges.
Well-presented individual with high level negotiation skills
Highly effective planning and reporting skills coupled with strong communication and presentation capabilities.
Influential personality and accountable nature with strong commercial and operational acumen.
Networking relationships with key water asset owners and councils with the ability to pursue new and existing clients for major opportunities.
Proficient in Project Management Methods, techniques and asset management principles
