Downer holds a long-term Asset Management and Facilities Management contract with the Department of Corrections and the Ministry of Justice. This involves the proactive management and delivery to the national portfolio of facilities including 15 prisons, 100 courts and 157 community correctional sites. This contract underpins the provision of availability of facilities to support core Government services.
We're looking for a Compliance Assurance Lead who is passionate, technically skilled, and has a talent for collaborative working. The purpose of this position is to deliver the compliance and quality aspects to support the Compliance Manager in the delivery of all contractual requirements to the clients.
Key tasks and responsibilities will include:
Ensure the health and safety and compliance obligations are carried out to a consistently high standard, ensuring that we are meeting and exceeding all compliance related KPIs and contract obligations
Ensure a quality management framework and system is in place and monitored, aligned with Downer and client needs.
Support the asset management, operations, projects and management team to deliver a quality and timely service to the clients.
Provide a pivotal leadership role within the contract team

To be successful in this exciting role you will offer:
Experience in zero harm or/and compliance assurance in the government, property, utilities or service industry
Proven track record in developing a culture that supports HSE management
An excellent understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act and supporting Regulations
Tertiary qualification in a Health & Safety discipline and hands on experience with Zero Harm & Hazardous Substances would be an advantage!
Current full and clean drivers licence is essential
