As our Contract Engineer, working in our Transport team, you’ll be involved in projects around the Wainui / Silverdale region, where you’ll provide management of specific operations, delivering on contract requirements, optimising resource use and achieving target results.

With a variety of work on offer, this includes developing maintenance strategies, pricing, programming, planning, construction and claiming a variety of road sealing projects.

You’ll perform tasks across a range contracts, departments and geographic areas. As Contract Engineer, you’ll aide in the delivery of contract requirements, optimisation of resource use and achieving target results to the client’s satisfaction, on time and within budget. You will also help to develop a strong and motivated team whilst ensuring stakeholder relationships are enhanced and built within the region.

About you:

Bring your proven willingness and capability to learn and couple it with your previous experience in civil construction (at least two years) or a tertiary qualification and we’re keen to see your application. Other things you need to bring to this role will include:

• Experience using RAMM Contractor (advantageous)
• Experience in managing work crews
• Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills – for all internal and external relationships
