About the role:

With our current and future opportunities, we are seeking to appoint an experienced Project Engineer to join our team based in our eastern region. We have some exciting energy projects on the go and we would like you to be part of our great team.

The Customer Project Engineer will be working closely with the Project Manager and Site Supervisor to successfully deliver projects. This will involve developing electrical designs and/or working with design consultants to finalise project specific designs. Developing inspection and test plans and seeing this through to sign off, including on site validation.

This role will also include, but is not limited to: people management, subcontractor management, project methodology development, standing in the gap as well as developing and maintaining working relationships with key stakeholders.

About you:

We are looking for an individual with the following skills and experience:

  • A formal Engineering qualification (BE, NZCE), or alternative experience
  • Experience in power distribution networks and/or an Electrical engineering position
  • Proven experience and capabilities in successfully delivering a project is desirable
  • Experience in developing and/or reviewing technical drawings and design is desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills and demonstrated customer relationship management skills is desirable
  • Sound project or engineering operations experience, including quality management
  • Excellent computer skills
  • A self-starter, highly motivated and goal oriented
  • Strong commitment to Health & Safety initiatives
  • Willing to learn and build your career in a fast-developing regional business
