About the role:
Based in Coromandel or Paeroa and reporting into the Design & Projects Manager, you will be working on one of our long-term electricity distribution agreements. The Designer / Estimator will be part of a team responsible for the delivery of Customer Initiated Works (CIW) assigned projects. Your primary role will be to provide design and pricing solutions for the network including overhead lines, underground transformer and substations. In addition, you will also get out in the field for customer site visits and manage your own small projects.
About you:
Knowledge of electricity distribution requirements is essential. You will also offer design nous and commercial costing skills. You could be an experienced Line Mechanic / Cable Jointer / Electrician etc. with an interest to expand your career into design, or an experienced designer/estimator in the power distribution industry ready to hit the ground running. It is ideal if you can also offer:
Design and pricing experience
Strong MS Office skills
Knowledge of legislation and ability to work within industry standards
