A fantastic opportunity is now available for a qualified and experienced Workshop & Field Service Mechanic working within our Roads Services Plant Business based out from our workshop in Dandenong South, Victoria.
The role would see you in a hybrid capacity working in the workshop as well as attending to service repairs in the field. You will ensure that the highest standard of plant reliability and availability is achieved, whilst maintaining Downer’s Safety and regulatory standards.
What you’ll bring
Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Technician / Fitter or Equivalent (essential)
Current HR Licence & current Forklift Licence (desirable)
Strong background in Auto Electrical work an advantage
Previous experience working with mobile plant & equipment
Hydraulic knowledge (essential)
Strong fault-finding skills and break down support
Able to work unsupervised
A strong commitment to a Zero Harm culture
Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical including Drug and Alcohol test.
