Working within the Transport Division of Downer NZ, the Digital Asset Technician works with project delivery teams primarily based in Auckland.
The role focuses on delivering asset data to our clients and asset owners within infrastructure projects that have Digital Engineering requirements.
Digital Engineering projects use technologically advanced digital solutions to help improve safety, quality and efficiency. They rely heavily on 3D models for coordination and site set-out and are linked to the asset data issued regularly during project delivery.
About the Role
In this role, you'll be part of the Construction Quality Team with solid links to Site Engineers and Digital Engineering Teams. You will work with the teams to:
Monitor asset attribute creation in a cloud-based platform and ensure that the digital quality data is linked to the assets.
Perform data analysis and manipulation following client data standards, regularly reporting on data entry progress.
Audit data accuracy, providing feedback to Site Engineers on the completeness of data sets.
Provide data entry training for Site Engineers and Subcontractors.
About You:
We are looking for a hardworking team player who takes pride in delivering quality work and is committed to placing health & safety above all else.
You will ideally have a passion for the civil construction industry and a tertiary Engineering qualification (or equivalent). You'll also bring with you proven industry experience and knowledge, but experience in advanced asset management will be advantageous. You'll also have in your skills toolkit:
Experience and skills in asset management and data management software and the ability to understand and translate large amounts of data to usable information – as a minimum, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
The ability to follow set processes and instructions with great attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with team members
Knowledge of PowerBI and SQL is an advantage
