About the job: Based out of the Downer Ngaruawahia depot, you will essentially ensure high quality infrastructure projects are delivered to plan using your expert operator skills. You will be proficient in operating a Grader Machine across a range of situations including high shoulder removal, unsealed road maintenance, pavement construction, and Final trim grading. You will also provide expertise to ensure quality assurance, support with problem solving and the implementation of ideas.
This is a full time, permanent role guaranteeing 40 hours paid work per week. You will primarily operative over a Monday – Friday work week, however occasional weekend, night shift and away projects may be required. About you! You will have minimum 3 years’ experience operating grading machines in civil construction environments. With an eye for detail and a steady hand, you will have a passion for quality results and a knack for project delivery. You will be able to operate heavy grader machinery to produce accurate line level and texture across roading, pathway and shared space construction and maintenance projects throughout the region. You’ll bring with you:
A Class 2 Drivers Licence with a WTR endorsement (essential)
Great communication skills, both written and verbal
A commitment and confidence to maintain safe work practices
Strong leadership and team work skills
A positive outlook, friendly attitude, and willingness to flex to the work as and where required
