An exciting Human Resource Business Partner opportunity has arisen within our facilities division based in Newcastle (Hexham). This is a permanent role within a friendly and supportive HR team partnering with both operational and functional business units.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Manage and resolve complex Employee & Industrial Relations (ER / IR) issues with support from internal IR subject matter experts and leadership teams
Work with the business in relation to supporting productivity improvement initiatives, process improvements and initiatives to support business goals.
Provide day-to-day coaching, mentoring and advice to leaders on workforce matters, including performance management, interpreting employment conditions and disciplinary matters
Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations and manage grievances in accordance with the relevant Company Policies & Standards, including the development of corrective actions where appropriate.
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Develop effective workforce planning solutions, retention and succession plans and design and oversee development plans for key people, high potentials and talent management profiles.
Undertake major change management and people impact initiatives when required.
Work with the business on organisational design and leadership capability to best support the immediate and future organisational growth.
ABOUT YOU
Degree qualified HR generalist preferably with a background in the Maintenance/Industrial or Construction industry.
Experience in interpreting and applying conditions of Enterprise Agreements in addition to a well-developed knowledge of legislation that governs the employment relationship.
Knowledge of legislative and consequent impacts on the organisation,
Experience in leading EBA negotiations
Ability to influence and engage stakeholders with demonstrated experience driving and implementing change.
A positive person, who is a team player, with a can-do attitude.
Demonstrated success in strategic HR disciplines such as Performance Development, Workforce Planning, Succession Planning, Transactional IR, Analytics and Reporting.
Experience with restructures, embedding change in the capacity of change champion would be advantageous.
