About the role
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will provide operational leadership to the NOC delivery team, ensuring successful outcomes are delivered to the contract requirements and maximisation of our commercial results. You will develop and implement best practice initiatives to improve H&S, performance, efficiency, and delivery. Day to day your functions will be to:
Manage and lead the Delivery Team to ensure best practice systems and methodologies are used
Manage, coach, and assist NOC Managers and Supervisors to achieve their targets and improve their competency
Oversee account management of Contract Operations and local accounts and extend scope and scale of services provided
Ensure effective & efficient resource is provided across the Network
Work with Contract Manager to build on a collaborative relationship and strong trust with Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency
This role works collaboratively across delivery streams and works closely with our strategic partners to ensure seamless delivery and outcomes. This is a great role for a driven individual looking to make their mark!
About you
You must be able to motivate your team and drive them to success, through your authentic leadership and influencing skills. You will have demonstrable experience managing multiple projects from conception to completion with your team, managing budgets, tracking costs, ensuring quality works are delivered and expected productivity is achieved.
You will also have:
The ability to drive profitability and achieve results through operational excellence to deliver on time and to budget
A high level of emotional intelligence to work with and build strong relationships with employees, clients, subcontractors and stakeholders
Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
Demonstrated history in developing a culture of both Zero Harm and one Team mentality
A tertiary qualification in engineering
10 + years’ experience of Project Management in Road Maintenance
