Our Palmerston North Transport team is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to tackle the delivery of Downer's construction activities.  Downer has a number of long-term contracts that come with exciting opportunities each step of the way - This is a fantastic time to join our business and be part of this growth period.

About the Role
In this role you’ll lead our team of Project Managers & Engineers who manage the delivery of Civil construction projects from start to finish. You’ll be confident liaising with crew and clients at all levels, and a master at reporting and planning in all avenues.

About you
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll come with plenty of experience Managing Projects of all sizes, you will hold either a formal civil engineering or project management qualification (e.g. BE, NZCE). You’ll also bring with you

• The ability to communicate effectively and build, maintain and grow relationships at all levels
• Civil engineering experience including knowledge of pavement construction
• Proven capability around people leadership and management, including the ability to influence others
• Commercial acumen including the ability to decipher financials
• Excellent organisational skills
• Experience with, and a strong commitment to health and safety initiatives
