NEWest Alliance is a multidisciplinary collaboration between CPB Contractors and Downer, working with the Public Transport Authority to deliver two projects (Yanchep Rail Extension and Thornlie-Cockburn Link) as part of METRONET.
As a Structure Supervisor reporting to the Area Manager for Downer, based in Butler, you will be part of a supportive and collaborative team of Project Managers, Engineers, Clients, Consultants at Yanchep Extension Link (YRE) Project for supporting our construction operations. We are seeking talented, motivated and enthusiastic professionals that are keen to progress their career on a one of Western Australia’s largest infrastructure projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY
Demonstrate a personal visible commitment to Our SHE Policies, Our SHE Cultural Framework, the Safety Essentials and the SHE Management System requirements and expectations;
Understand and discharge their SHE accountabilities;
Develop and maintain an awareness of the hazards and associated SHE risks and demonstrate a commitment to eliminate or minimize those risks
Maintaining a comprehensive working knowledge of the contract, the specifications, the EBA and safety and environmental regulations
Effectively coordinating and supervising the utilization of all on-site resources for the project
Ensuring all workers are inducted onto site before commencing work
Monitoring construction progress and compliance to safety and environmental standards
Ensuring accurate time sheets are submitted to the pay office within specified time frames
Managing site security and material/plant deliveries and storage and general housekeeping
Ensure all operations are performed in accordance with agreed safe methods of work
Forward planning daily/weekly/monthly construction work including resource requirements and trade coordination
Actively liaising with subcontractors and suppliers
Ensuring subcontracts act safety and comply with safety requirements
ABOUT YOU
AQF Certificate II in Construction (or equivalent)
Minimum 8 years site experience with a minimum 1 year experience as a leading hand
Managed self and resources to deliver work to $10M
Applying principles of construction to deliver works in accordance with scope of works technical criteria (SWTC)
Demonstrated commercial experience includes planning up to 4 weeks ahead and monitoring of resources within area of accountability
Conduct own work and teams according to site SHEQ
